Can't drag url from firefox onto the launcher

Bug description:
I can't seem to drag a link/url from firefox onto auto-hiding
launcher, neither does it show automatically on drag, or when I press
against the left edge.
And when I disable auto-hiding, I can't drop the url on any icon in
the launcher, even when they obviously take urls (firefox, chromium).
