Matching subscriptions: dx-packages https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/863844 Title: Icon in indicator-session does not indicate pending updates Status in Ayatana Design: New Status in The Session Menu: Incomplete Status in “indicator-session” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: The text in indicator-session is correctly reflecting the status of updates. But a user can only see that status when clicking on the indicator, which, of course is not a natural thing because normally, there's no need for the user to do that. It would be better if the icon reflects the status by colouring it, say yellow. Then the attention is drawn to the icon and everything else follows. Colouring this icon is already done when requiring a reboot (the icon turns red), so technically and functionally there should be no problem. As a bonus, the indicator could send a notification, stating the existence of pending updates.
