Hi Julia, Thanks for highlighting this! Since it looks like the fix for the issue you found was not originally backported to earlier versions ( https://github.com/DSpace/DSpace/pull/9753), I just commented there to bump this request and hopefully we can move forward with a port to DSpace 8.x.
