The default setting didn't work, so I installed ImageMagick and enabled it. However, I had forgotten to set this configuration in *local.cfg*: i*org.dspace.app.mediafilter.ImageMagickThumbnailFilter.ProcessStarter = /usr/bin* After adding this configuration, it worked correctly.
