Hi Carolyn, I'm unaware of any code in DSpace which can reject files by filetype/extension. However, you may want to try to debug the issue by looking for errors in the User Interface or backend logs. See our troubleshooting guide: https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/DSPACE/Troubleshoot+an+error
