I am working on Ubuntu 24.04 to install Dspace 8. I think I have managed to
install the backend because I was able to load the HAL browser. However, as
I navigate to complete the frontend installation, I am encountering some
issues. I am working in conjunction with our central IT because there are
some points of access that I dont have. The proxy settings have been
created etc. I also created an equivalent of dspace-ui.json with
environment variables which I ran with pm2 and it showed a status of online
but no reference to the version of Dspace. That made me suspect something
was wrong. This was confirmed when I tried to load the URL for my site.
Then I tried to load the frontend using the node dist/server/main.js
command. Unfortunately, I get a 502 message on the browser when I attempted
to access the URL.So as per the instructions I tried doing a yarn
test:rest. I do not see any errors but I dont seem to be establishing a
connection at all. I am not sure where next to go, which logs to look at.
I've looked up in the group messages but haven't found anything that points
me in the direction that I should go next. Any assistance would be greatly
appreciated.

 Marcia
