Apologies for the long delay in responding to this one. I upgraded to
DSpace 8, but even with this, the issue does not seem to have resolved.
Some issues have gone away, but this one remains. It is almost as if
something is timing out. At the moment, I have to add as much data as
quickly as I can and then save it for later. I have the greatest success
when I am able to take an item in my workspace and continue editing from
there.

With version 8, I am running the self-contained Tomcat binary with Nginx
reverse proxy to handle the SSL. Everything else seems to be running well.
I have recently upgraded this server and I haven't yet tried adding
anything new to the repository. I will give it another go and see if the
situation has improved with the increase of server speed and memory.

All that to say, simply updating from the 7.1/7.2/7.3 releases had
absolutely no effect in my case. As usual, your mileage may vary.

All the best,
Mathieu
