Hi euler,

The issue with the collapsed navbar (hamburger menu) sounds like it might 
be related to https://github.com/DSpace/dspace-angular/issues/2372 , which 
was fixed in https://github.com/DSpace/dspace-angular/pull/2444 for the 
"dspace" theme.  It *might be* that this issue also needs fixing for the 
"custom" theme (I haven't had a chance to look into it, but these sound 
similar).

If you have time to verify whether that fix works for the "custom" theme, 
then I'd recommend creating a new bug ticket (or Pull Request if you are 
comfortable doing so) and link it back to that older issue. Tickets can be 
submitted at https://github.com/DSpace/dspace-angular/issues
