Hi Anil,

A 500 error is often a communication issue between the frontend & backend.
We have a guide in the "Common Installation Issues" which walks through a
lot of the common reasons for this 500 error to
occur:
https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/DSDOC7x/Installing+DSpace#InstallingDSpace-%22500ServiceUnavailable%22fromtheUserInterface

If you cannot find the answer via that guide, you also may want to ensure
there's not a backend error occurring. That can be found via our
Troubleshooting
guide:
https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/DSPACE/Troubleshoot+an+error#Troubleshootanerror-DSpace7.x(orabove)
