It’s not clear what you’re trying to solve. You’ve provided a screenshot of
what you see, but without knowing what you *want* to see it’s hard to know how
to achieve it.

My *guess* is that you’re using a hierarchical controlled vocabulary so when
you’ve applied a term to an item, it’s saved with the full hierarchy path but
you actually want it to save and/or display with only the term itself (eg
History of technology).

If so, there are different ways to change this depending on whether you want it
to *save* as “History of technology” (in which case ramifications include that
you wouldn’t be able to take advantage of an upcoming feature letting users
browse the hierarchy for discovery) or only *display* as “History of
technology” (in which case you need to think about which place(s) you want this
display to change, eg the item page, browse keywords, search autocomplete
prompts, etc.

And when asking on the list it’s helpful to let people know which version
you’re working with, and what capacity you have for editing config files / xml
/ source code.

…I don’t know enough myself about the files/code in v7.* to provide any
technical details myself – except that one way to achieve the first option
would be to restructure your hierarchical vocabulary xml to remove all the
levels leaving only a flat list of terms, but this means you can’t take
advantage of the hierarchy for any purpose at all including to aid users in the
submission form.
