Hi there We are in the process of setting up Dspace 7.5 (current installation is 6.3). I've been reading through DOI Digital Object Identifier - DSpace 7.x Documentation - LYRASIS Wiki <https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/DSDOC7x/DOI+Digital+Object+Identifier#DOIDigitalObjectIdentifier-ConfigureDSpacetousetheDataCiteAPI> to try and work out how to use the new logical filter options to control which items get datacite doi's minted and reserved on archive. The filter-related config mentioned on that page seems geared around minting in submission which we don't really need - we only get a few requests for doi's ahead of archive and these are pretty ad hoc so hard to configure filters for them. We just want to: 1) use a filter to control which items get a doi minted at archive - which the identifiers.cfg property identifiers.submission.filter.install seems to do. I found something similar in identifier-service.xml DOIIdentifierProvider bean filter property too but couldn't find any notes about this except what is in the comments.
2) For ad hoc requests to mint doi during submission; Use the Item Status page button for registering dois - via the identifiers.item-status.register-doi = true identifiers.cfg property My question is will the above identifiers.cfg settings still work if the identifiers.submission.register property is set to false?
