More specifically, you could export into either the "Simple Archive Format" or into the AIP Format. https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/DSDOC6x/Importing+and+Exporting+Items+via+Simple+Archive+Format or https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/DSDOC6x/AIP+Backup+and+Restore Hopefully that helps give you some ideas.
