Hi Jennifer (and all), There are also some newer "advanced" DSpace training materials which cover how to customize DSpace, etc. They are from an early 2015 "Advanced DSpace Training" session taught by James Creel and hosted by Texas Digital Library in Austin, Texas. While the course was called "Advanced DSpace Training", it also covered topics like Installation and Configuration, etc. It specifically covered DSpace 4.2, but also introduced new DSpace 5.0 features (as that release had just come out).
Those materials (in the form of slides) are currently linked off the DSpace Resources wiki page (check the "Customizing DSpace" section, looking at the 2015 training links): https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/DSPACE/DSpaceResources#DSpaceResources-Guides Here's the direct links: http://www.slideshare.net/DuraSpace/dspace-42-basics-configuration http://www.slideshare.net/DuraSpace/dspace-42-transmission-importexport http://www.slideshare.net/DuraSpace/dspace-42-xmlui-theming http://www.slideshare.net/DuraSpace/dspace-50-feature-preview - Tim On 6/16/2015 2:11 PM, LEWIS Stuart wrote: > Hi Jennifer, > > Most of the concepts that the course will still be relevant: for example > communities and collections, items, deposit configuration, and some > JSPUI customisation options. > > Some of the options, for example how to configure DSpace to use LDAP or > Shibboleth authentication, or how to run import and export commands, > will be similar, but the exact commands will have changed a little.
