+1 to the idea...haven't had a chance to review the actual XSD yet.
I think it's correct that DIM was initially conceived as an "internal"
format...but, nowadays, it's use has expanded to OAI-PMH/OAI-ORE. In order to
better support that sort of harvesting from one DSpace to another, I think we
should have an XSD available for validation.
For example, an XSD would be of use during OAI harvesting from one DSpace to
