Hi,
I'm currently trying to deploy bilingual instance of DSpace (1.7.1).
So far I have succeeded with messages.xml, some minor changes in
forms.xml (which had some parts 'hard-coded', without i18n mechanizm
applied). But I have huge problem with translating input-forms.xml.
What I did so far was:
* creating input-forms_pl.xml with translated labels, hints and
required elements
* applying Claudia Jürgen's patches from Jira DS-842 (thanks Claudia)
* modifying org.dspace.submit.step.DescribeStep.getInputsReader() so
it would use I18nUtil.getInputFormsFileName(locale) to get the
actual filename for input-forms (input-forms_pl.xml or
input-forms.xml in my case)
What I got was:
* proper file recognition in Java code - it WAS input-forms_pl.xml
that was loaded, processed etc. (I've checked that with debugger)
* wrong language version displayed in my web browser - DSpace
translated to Polish, description fields (author, title,
identifiers, etc.) still in English (as in input-forms.xml)
Any clues? Please help
