Robin Taylor commented on DS-674:
---------------------------------
Is it time that we considered doing this sort of stuff with Javascript and only
sending the data once the screen is fully filled in ? Our users complain about
the length of time it takes to fill in this screen if they have multiple
authors or keywords.
Cheers, Robin.
> Add and Remove Selected actions on individual metadata fields have an effect

> In the Describe Item step, each metadata field for which multiple occurences
> are allowed, is enhanced with an "Add" button.
> Pressing the add button effectively takes the information, already completed
> in the field, stores it, and makes the text fields empty again.
> The problem is that pressing an "add" button for one field, will effectively
> store ALL of the provided values for fields that can have multiple occurences.
> Same goes for "Remove Selected". Although each of the metadata fields has a
> separate "Remove Selected" button (making you expect that pressing it will
> only affect that particular metadata field), pressing one of the buttons will
> effectively remove all of the metadata values in the whole form (given the
> fact that their checkbox is marked).
> Solution:
> For the Remove selected button: just have one of these buttons on top/bottom
> of the form, or change the behaviour that it only removes the particular
> field.
> For the add button: ensure that it only works on the field it's placed next
> to.
