So, the documentation is lacking in great detail about the replace
function. (I happen to need to use it).
Who on here can give me some details regarding the --replace
function. There is some mention of
it in section 9.7.2 Registering Items.... and in 9.7.6 Deleting
Registered Items.
It is unclear whether one could, say, reload a batch with the replace
function and have it replace the bitstreams.
So, can this happen? If so, what are the caveats? What about the
older bitstream?
I've run import --help and see the flags. But the current
documentation is unclear about the replacing of items.
