We are running XMLUI, and we have enhanced out theme code to covert hypertext links found in additional metadata fields (beyond the default behavior that Claudia described).
Here are some changes that we have implemented locally. - Convert http/https links found in description fields into hyperlinks - Convert http/https links found in dc identifier fields into hyperlinks. For known targets (DOI, Worldcat, ORCID), we contextualize the link text. - Convert dc.relation links into embedded viewers (such as our streaming service) Rex, there is an ORCID extension <https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/DSDOC5x/ORCID+Integration> for DSpace that might also provide some of the behavior you are seeking. The DSpace-CRIS <https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/DSPACECRIS/DSpace-CRIS+Home> feature might also provide example behavior.
