If your researcher are worried about lack of functionalities, as researcher
profile, better statistics, deduplication tools, etc. an option is also the
DSpace-CRIS extension

https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/DSPACECRIS (documentation home)

https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/DSPACECRIS/Project+documentation (some
slides and papers about it)

it is build on top of the JSPUI. I can anticipate that me and the other
developers involved in DSpace-CRIS, with the commitment of our company
4Science, will migrate DSpace-CRIS to the new DSpace 7 UI, angular2, during the
next year to be ready with the new version almost together with the official
DSpace 7.

Hope this help,

Andrea

Hello,

At this point in time, the Angular2 user interface (UI) for DSpace is still in
a prototype phase. The Angular2 prototype was demoed at the Open Repositories
conference in Dublin in June, 2016. At that conference, it was announced that
the Angular 2 UI will be built and released in DSpace 7 (tentative timeline of
late 2017 / early 2018). Here's the slides from the presentation that
contained that announcement:
http://www.slideshare.net/tdonohue/introducing-the-new-dspace-user-interface
and here's a demo of that prototype Angular2 UI: http://ui-prototype.atmire.com/

Since June, much of the efforts of our volunteer developer team have
concentrated on stabilizing the upcoming DSpace 6.0 release (expect a new
release candidate next week). DSpace 6.0 will be the last release that
contains the current XMLUI and JSPUI. Once this release is completed, our
team's development effort will move towards building the new Angular2 UI for
DSpace 7.0 (and we will look for other volunteers to contribute as well).

So, this is a long way of saying that the Angular 2 UI is not yet available,
but it will be coming. Unfortunately, the earliest it will likely receive a
production-level release would be late 2017. The timeline itself is not yet
finalized, as it is highly dependent on how many volunteers we have
contributing and how quickly we are able to begin development over the coming
months.

Until then, the only production-level DSpace UIs available are the current
XMLUI and JSPUI.

* For the XMLUI, the most user friendly theme at this time is likely the
Mirage2 theme (built on Bootstrap):
https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/DSDOC5x/Mirage+2+Configuration+and+Customization
A demo of this theme is available at http://demo.dspace.org/xmlui/

* The JSPUI is also built on Bootstrap, and a demo of this theme is available
at http://demo.dspace.org/jspui/

I hope that helps explain your options. Let us know on this list if you have
followup questions.

 Tim

Researchers and teachers refuse to work with dspace as they
            consider unfriendly interface it .

I am very new with Dspace technology but need to make a more
friendly interface so that people can work with it ..for
what I consider to attach to Angular 2 is a very good idea
            ...

in case you still be a project would need to guide me which
tools are the most desirable to work with interfaces and
            where can I find information

            thank you very much
