I think it is time to get rid of the vendor rtl8723au driver. I haven't heard any complaints about rtl8xxxu not being able to support the rtl8723au as well as the old driver. To give users a little time to migrate and raise their voices, lets start by marking it deprecated and print a warning. Then we can remove it completely in a couple of releases.
