Oh, I'm sure it was intentionally done, but it is still poor behaviour,
for the reasons I previously stated.
Of the five IMAP server implementations I have immediate access to
(Dovecot Cyrus, Gimap, Exchange and whatever Yahoo uses), Dovecot is
the only one that does this.
So not only undesirable, but also inconsistent.
