Did you follow https://doc.dovecot.org/configuration_manual/hibernation/ ? Especially you need the imap_hibernation_timeout.

I see the socket in var/run/dovecot with OK-permissions:

Added in my config:

user = $default_internal_user

}

}

service imap {

Can someone give me a clue where it's going wrong?

Or an option so I can debug?
