I obviously meant would you care to elaborate on this comment of yours: "There are two portable file formats for calendar and contacts that work across applications and systems, but no server that can use them, and use them safely." Any client<>server system will have some basic requirements. SOGo is very easy to install (as long as you are using a repo+package manager, and aren't trying to install each dependency manually by hand).
