I thought that dovecot sockets are under /var/run/dovecot, not
/var/dovecot, by default on Ubuntu 16.04.
Anyways, to make sure dovecot actually is configured to listen on
those sockets, you could stop dovecot, rm the socket files, and start
dovecot to see if those sockets get created.
