Should not need to alter flags, eg:
dovecot unix - n n - - pipe
flags=DRhu user=vmail:vmail argv=/usr/libexec/dovecot/dovecot-lda
-f ${sender} -e -d ${user}@${nexthop}
works perfectly good.
