I don't think this message can be disabled in dovecot. You can however
configure your syslog daemon to ignore the message.
The following works for me using rsyslog:
$: cat /etc/rsyslog.d/40-dovecot.conf
:msg, contains, "mysql(localhost): Connected to database" ~
