I'm not sure this is a known bug. I'm using dovecot 1.1.19.

S: * SORT 1 2 4 5 3 6 7 (... all messages in folder)
S: s NO [BADCHARSET] Unknown charset
I think there shouldn't be "* SORT... " response.
