I don't know about Outlook Express, but I was unable to get Outlook 2007 to use login credentials, and my dovecot is configured to support NTLM, SPNEGO and GSSAPI :( Thunderbird on Windows will use the login credentials if dovecot supports GSSAPI and has the proper kerberos setup. Check use secure authentication or somesuch. Jason
