Unless you're using a single UID for all the users, you'll need to have a dovecot-shared file in each shared maildir so in my previous email i wrote : (same uid.gid) and that in the public location i use something like : maildir:/var/mail/shared:INDEX=/var/mail/shared/%u/index/:CONTROL=/var/mail/shared/%u/control/ i've used the %u variable but didnt work.
