Hmmm... was your config file posted from output of dovecot -n? That
usually shows the version in its output...
yes it was, but for some reason I forget to copy the first line, and
best of all I then manually add # dovecot.conf by myself in the mail...
Here's the missing line :
# 1.0.13: /usr/local/etc/dovecot.conf
if it can help, my dovecot is running on a FreeBSD 6.2 box
