It does have a dependency issue, in that it requires Digest::Perl::MD5.
There's a little mistake in this script. Line 54 should read:
if (length $secret > 64) {
Fixed.
You can easily check this by supplying a 65-char password and
comparing the output with dovecotpw.
Not really any need to test an obvious typo.
