You won't believe this, but I had begun to dimly realise what had happened. At some point in the last five years a directory called 'Test_Software' had been created, within the directory called 'Train_Software'. It shouldn't have been there and, in fact the 'Test_Software' directory also exists in the partition, at the same level as the 'Train_Software' directory (where it should have been). The startup code automatically cds to the 'Train_Software' directory and runs the operational train program there. When I Ctrl-Cd out of the operational code I found the code in the 'Test-Software' directory and ran it.

Unfortunately, when I copied the code from the PC to the SD Card, I copied it to the 'proper' 'Test_Software' directory...
