Glad you got it sorted, but reading that page tells me it's mounting
on access, not mounting on boot as you wanted.  It could be the
difference can't be discerned given the use.

That page also mentions systemd automounts these days, and
https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Autofs#Alternatives_to_AutoFS says
systemd is an alternate.

Still, now it's working you may want to leave it alone.
