Hi all
Got a new USB stick and made a live version of Mint 22 Cinnamon which
allowed me to get into the laptop. Recovered the last copy of Timeshift
which was the day before! All now OK and sending this from LT.
LT would not boot from the USB stick until I got into the UEFI boot up
and changed from the HD to USB boot. Before UEFI I could set the BIOS
to boot from the USB if available and if not then boot from HD: can't
see how to set this up now as the 'BIOS' screen is different and I'm not
happy playing around in it. Any idea's how to set the dual boot up.
The main computer _does_ recognise if a Live USB is inserted and boots
from that: think it has an older version of the BIOS? Both systems
running the same OS setup.
