Some good news and some bad news.

The good news is that it appears to work well for most sites.

There's two bits of bad news; first bitwarden has to be explicitly unlocked
each time the browser is used. I can live with that, but that wasn't
necessary previously because Chrome remembered my Google credentials and
automatically logged me in, thus giving me access to its internal password
manager.

The second issue is that it doesn't work when logging in to Google itself.
Unlike most sites, the login process for Google is two part; enter the email
address, click Next and then enter the password. I think the problem is that
bitwarden knows nothing about the two step process and so offers the email
address at the password step.

This is using the version of bitwarden that takes the form of a Chrome
extension. I don't know if the OS based installation will be any better. I
may try that sometime.
