Hi Ralph
Thanks for the quick reply AND the other info. I'll try Firefox as
that's what I use and it has not been a problem - yet!
Will try out your suggestion of a separate 'room'. Usin the LUG link
could help if anyone else is listening in and has a suggestion, maybe do
that if we can't solve a problem.
Used the LUG for this question as Peter will know what I've asked when
we do the testing (on a rainy day??) :-)

Hi Clive,
I don't have the_program _installed but use the DLUG meeting _link_
which has worked.
Which means your web browser is your interface. (You will have less
chance of problems if you use Chrome rather than Firefox. Even if
Firefox seems to be working for you, in can impact other, non-Firefox,
users in the room. They're working on fixing this.)
I tried the other day and it allowed to open the 'site' but I'm not
sure if we could use that link as a testing one.
You can, it's open to anyone. But the name of the `meeting room' is
your choice. You can use https://meet.jit.si/t23Tf4FQf8R instead. It's
equivalent to the LUG one. It's a random room name so you shouldn't
have others turn up expecting the LUG. Or you and Peter can agree a
room name privately; just make it unlikely to be used by anyone else.
Question:- Can we open the link and test connections, video & Audio
out between us without installing Jitsi or does one of us need it
installed.
Neither of you need the stand-alone program installed; you may both use
your browsers by just opening the URL. The stand-alone program is just
an easy way to bundle a browser for those whose browser is out of date
or Firefox and causing problems.
