Thanks for all the comments and will try on the desktop PC as my '/'
directory is nearly full with 21 of 26 Gb's. Don't know why as I've
removed some progs but that's another problem for later.
Will also try Ralph's idea of using the browser to our daughter in CH.

As someone else mentioned, sorry, forget whom, it probably means it
downloads their binary and packages that up using your system's package
format so it sits nicely alongside everything else. It should be okay
to try installing...
Does Zoom work and is there any problem with it please?
Before installing the package, try using it from your web browser, again
as someone else said on this thread.

If that's adequate for your needs then you won't have to install
software. Modern web browsers can access cameras and microphones,
popping up a window to ask permission at the time.
