I should clarify that the DS1820 is using GPIO Pin 04 as an INPUT not an O/P 
as I've implied above, but measuring the O/P voltage at least shows that the 
pin can do something.  It is a bit more difficult to test the input, but it can 
be done with an external source (with a resistor to protect the pin) if need 
be.
