I concur with this. I have been using a single SD Card to test the hardware for each of the Gate Valves that I am currently building for WMT. Each time I SSH into the newly built device, I get this message because the hardware has changed, but the IP address hasn't so the PC I'm using smells a rat. I can accept this situation because it is easier to simply delete the old key and create a new one. In your message the line: Offending ECDSA key in /home/peterm/.ssh/known_hosts:8 remove with: ssh-keygen -f "/home/peterm/.ssh/known_hosts" -R "192.168.1.9" tells you how. You will then be able to log in after agreeing to generate a new key. -- Terry Coles -- Next meeting: BEC, Bournemouth, Tuesday, 2019-10-01 20:00 Check to whom you are replying Meetings, mailing list, IRC, ... http://dorset.lug.org.uk/ New thread, don't hijack: mailto:dorset@mailman.lug.org.uk
