Ralph,
My problem is similar to the bug you found. From the bug history I got the
impression that a release was due so I've waited a few days but my situation
hasn't changed.

So, taking up your requests I get the following:

apt-cache policy nvidia-driver-390
nvidia-driver-390:
  Installed: 390.77-0ubuntu0.18.04.2
  Candidate: 390.77-0ubuntu0.18.04.2
  Version table:
 *** 390.77-0ubuntu0.18.04.2 500

     390.48-0ubuntu3 500

sudo -i apt full-upgrade

You might want to run 'apt --fix-broken install' to correct these.
The following packages have unmet dependencies.
libnvidia-ifr1-390 : Depends: libnvidia-gl-390 but it is not installed
 nvidia-driver-390 : Depends: libnvidia-gl-390 (= 390.77-0ubuntu0.18.04.2) but
it is not installed
                     Recommends: libnvidia-ifr1-390:i386 (=
390.77-0ubuntu0.18.04.2)
                     Recommends: libnvidia-gl-390:i386 (=
390.77-0ubuntu0.18.04.2)
E: Unmet dependencies. Try 'apt --fix-broken install' with no packages (or
specify a solution).
BTW, when I try to "fix-broken" I get "diversion" errors. Is that something I
can change?

  libllvm6.0 libllvm6.0:i386 libwayland-client0:i386 libwayland-server0:i386

Use 'sudo apt autoremove' to remove them.
The following additional packages will be installed:
  libnvidia-gl-390
The following NEW packages will be installed

My sources.list file looks fairly standard. Can I alter that to make progress?
