I was trying to solve slow boot problem on my HP Notebook runninning Ubuntu
18.04. Following advice on Ask Ubuntu I changed the grub file.
GRUB_CMDLINE_DEFAULT="quiet splash noresume"The screen now freezes after I
enter name and password, the only way to get out of it is to remove the battery
.I have tried running Ubuntu 18.04 from my boot dvd but this does not work
either.Can anyone help please?
