It can be disabled by setting MAIN_DISABLE_FPDI Else the "libfpdi-php" debian package is needed and should be added to the "Depends" list in the "control" file. You may want to try installing it. Anyway, looks like Laurent is the package maintainer ; he'll know what to do.
