According to the French documentation of the AllowOverride directive:
> Options[=Option,...]
> Permet l'utilisation des directives contrôlant les fonctionnalités
> spécifiques d'un répertoire (Options et XBitHack). "Options" doit être suivi
> d'un signe "égal", puis d'une liste d'options séparées par des virgules (pas
> d'espaces) ; ces options doivent être définies à l'aide de la commande
> Options.
The second sentence translates:
> An equal sign may be given followed by a comma-separated list, without
> spaces, of options that may be set using the Options command.
The English version is also poor. I do not understand enough how this handles
XBitHack to recommend something confidently, but I suggest the following:
> To allow overriding only some options, add an equal sign followed by a list
> of options that may be set using the Options directive. The names of 2
> consecutive options are separated by a simple comma, without spaces.
> Pour permettre d’outrepasser seulement certaines options, ajoutez un signe
> d’égalité (« = ») suivi d'une liste d'options pouvant être définies à l’aide
> de la directive Options. Les noms de 2 options consécutives sont séparés par
> une virgule sans espaces.
