The cloud native computing foundation (especially Kubernetes) is largely
using Hugo and it seems to work well.

Revisiting a thread that somewhat died out ... I would also be very much
in favor of moving away from XML/Docbook, and towards something
Markdown-based.
The current toolchain has served us very well, but given the discussion
in the "Building docs ..." thread, maybe the time has come to move to
something a little more modern?
