Hi Lucien, AFAIK a worker is one of the members from the cluster. It is not the Worker MPM. You can also run that with a different MPM like prefork or winnt. You can read that on line 749.
IMHO you could translate that with "travailleur" or "membre" (my french is not the best ;-) ) Hope that helps.
