I am seeing that point as well and will most likely do it that way
rather than by what software release.

The way around that I see is to do the guide by chapter then assemble it
a single document when all the chapters are completed.

Both Frances and Marcia are marking up possible changes to Jean's taming
aoo book and nothing is in the repository yet as it was just created a
couple of days ago.
