I would like officially assigned option name to used if possible. I admit pcode and tcode are not best names for it, but they are listed like that on IANA [1]. I guess comment would be nice, explaining purpose and RFC reference.
Kea DHCP server [2] uses also pcode and tcode, can we make match them? Is there any other documentation for supported dhcp option names excluding source code? Are used names based on usage in other products? 1. https://www.iana.org/assignments/bootp-dhcp-parameters/bootp-dhcp-parameters.xhtml#options 2. https://kea.readthedocs.io/en/kea-1.6.2/arm/dhcp4-srv.html#dhcp4-std-options-list On 9/3/21 2:13 PM, Dominik DL6ER wrote: > Hey Simon, > > this small patch adds the DHCP options "posix-timezone" and "tzdb- > timezone" as defined in RFC 4833, Section 2: > https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/rfc4833#section-2 > > Examples for valid options are > >> dhcp-option = option:posix-timezone,"CEST- > 1CET,M3.2.0/2:00:00,M11.1.0/2:00:00" > > and > >> dhcp-option = option:tzdb-timezone,"Europe/Berlin" > Best, > Dominik > > _______________________________________________ > Dnsmasq-discuss mailing list > Dnsmasq-discuss@lists.thekelleys.org.uk > https://lists.thekelleys.org.uk/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/dnsmasq-discuss -- Petr Menšík Software Engineer Red Hat, http://www.redhat.com/ email: pemen...@redhat.com PGP: DFCF908DB7C87E8E529925BC4931CA5B6C9FC5CB
