Out of interest, I took a look at the full sentence to understand the context of the errata report.
This is the domain name in the URL that the user typed, selected from a bookmark, or chose by clicking on a hyperlink. Presumably, this is what is of interest for the eavesdropper. Based on this, I agree that chose is the correct option. As a nit though, the "for" in the second sentence really ought to be "to". ;-) Andrew -----Original Message----- From: Mukund Sivaraman <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, July 9, 2024 8:48 AM To: Eric Vyncke (evyncke) <[email protected]> Cc: RFC Errata System <[email protected]>; [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected] Subject: [dns-privacy] Re: [Editorial Errata Reported] RFC9076 (8024) On Tue, Jul 09, 2024 at 07:08:01AM +0000, Eric Vyncke (evyncke) wrote: > Original Text > ------------- > Primary request: > This is the domain name in the URL that the user typed, selected from > a bookmark, or chose > > Corrected Text > -------------- > Primary request: > This is the domain name in the URL that the user typed, selected from > a bookmark, or chosen Both of you appear correct in my reading. It depends on how you read the sentence. This is the domain name... selected from a bookmark or chosen.. This is ... that the user selected from a bookmark or chose.. Mukund
