Out of interest, I took a look at the full sentence to understand the context 
of the errata report.



This is the domain name in the URL that the user typed, selected from a 
bookmark, or chose by clicking on a hyperlink. Presumably, this is what is of 
interest for the eavesdropper.



Based on this, I agree that chose is the correct option.  As a nit though, the 
"for" in the second sentence really ought to be "to".  ;-)

Both of you appear correct in my reading. It depends on how you read the 
sentence.



This is the domain name... selected from a bookmark or chosen..



This is ... that the user selected from a bookmark or chose..
