        corp.verio.net is indeed a subdomain, and not a registered domain:

        corp.verio.net
        !=
        veriocorp.net

        I've seen both at large customer sites. I'm not sure which one I prefer,
        although the second one has the benefit of decoupling snafus on the 
public
        facing domain from the inside (for those that still make this 
distinction).
