FYI, mail is one of the gTLDs that has been applied for and currently sits in 
ICANN's uncalculated risk category. It's a bit late in the day for it to be 
added to some permanently banned or reserved list.

I suspect other gTLD strings could be even more of a problem: sap for instance.
